Weekly Original John's Pizzeria Winner Announced 3/31/11
Every week, The Original John’s gives away a free pizza to a valued customer. This week’s winner is Ruth Kerns of Hammond, IN.
Customers are invited to sign up for the contest at www.theoriginaljohns.com, where they will also be eligible to receive special offers and coupons through email. The Original John’s Pizzeria is located at 247 Ridge Road, Munster, IN 46322.
John’s Pizzeria got its start in 1943 when Phil Bacino settled in the Chicagoland area after trekking across the sea from Sicily. He decided to open a pizzeria in Calumet City, Illinois and name it after his son. John’s was the first of its kind for Regionites, who responded to the southern Italian food with repeat business.
With the retirement of both Phil and John Bacino, grandson Phil Bacino has since relocated the restaurant to neighboring Munster, Indiana. Still true to his family’s original recipes, the eatery now goes by the name “The Original John’s Pizzeria.” The restaurant can be found on the web at www.theoriginaljohns.com or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/originaljohns.
